“The House of Thompson” was originally
printed in 1908 for “The American Lumberman” magazine. The book recounts the story of the Thompson
brothers, the timber stands they purchased and sawmills they built to mill
their timber in such East Texas towns as New and Old Willard, Doucette,
Grayburg, and Trinity. The book contains
over 90 pages of rare photos that show the forests of the regions.
