VINZANT (Added August 22, 2004) George Stuart Edward Vinson Vinzant (married to Emily Womack) and his brother John N. Vinzant, Jr. (married to Jane Sims) moved to Trinity Co., TX from Smith Co., MS in the mid 1850's. Both served in Co. E, 7th TX Mounted Vol.Cav. during the Civil War. Edward eventually moved to San Saba County. Two of his daughters married McCarty brothers. Another daughter married Jefferson Reynolds, then John Norsworthy, then W. L. Ashworth. Son John Columbus Vinzant married Jane
Butler. John N. Vinzant, Jr. had one daughter who married Mitchell Tullos. Son Olford married Lucinda Merchant. Another son Brown or Alford may have been a local lawman at one time.

May 26, 1875 Trinity co died: August 29, 1941 Trinity Co I am looking for the ancestors and descendants of this family. I have the daughter of William MARTIN and her related descendants but I do not have much on the rest of his family and none on his parents and back.
AINSWORTH, Levin November 23, 1788 Chesterfield Co, SC. died: October 2, 1861 Trinity Co. I entered Levin in your surnames as he was a resident of Trinity Co and also the father of Mary A. AINSWORTH.
MARTIN: I was born and raised in Kimball Bend, Bosque County, Texas. I have been to Centralia a couple of times and have the Trinity Co Cemetery book along with Trinity County Beginnings trying to locate some Martins. I was hoping that by finding some current related Martins that they might have been tracing the ancestors. One of the problems is that there were two Martin families that were prominent in Trinity Co in the mid 1800s and trying to separate them is a job.
