Frances Loiacano Staley
Frances Loiacano Staley, 89, of Orange, passed away January 22, 2004 at Baptist Hospital in Orange. She is survived by her son, James Lee Staley of Orange, and granddaughter, Cherri Staley; sister, Marie Tindall of Baytown; brother, Leo Lucas Loiacano of Waxahachie; and sister-in-law, Val Loiacano of Vidor. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Sam Staley; sisters, Connie Ragusa, and Amelia Loiacano; and brothers, Anthony Loiacano, and Guy Loiacano. Frances Staley was born in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, to Anna and Mariano Loiacano. She had been a resident of Orange since 1916. She along with her sister, Marie Tindall operated and managed the Orange County Courthouse Concession for over 30 years. Frances was an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Altar Society, Angel choir, Catholic Daughters, and Past President of the Texas Federation for the Blind. A Mass of Catholic Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 27, 2004, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Orange with Reverend Joseph Daleo officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Orange Lions Club.
