Maurine "Nana" Fogal, 90, of Orange died May 15, 2006, at Loving Care Nursing Center in Orange. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, May 18, 2006, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Officiating will be Dr. Tim Griffin, pastor of the First Christian Church in Orange. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Fogal was born in Zavalla, Texas, was a former resident of Beaumont and resided in Orange for the past 50 years. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Orange, had volunteered as a Gray Lady at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Orange and served as Past President of the Women's Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Fogal; parents, Thomas and Vida (Wells) Mitchell; two sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her son, Robert W. Fogal, Jr. and wife Jordan of Houston; daughters, Claire Covington and husband Don, Pat Hoffpauir and Penny Kelley all of Orange; sister, Polly Lyons of Beaumont; twelve grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Guy Covington, Scott Covington, Russell Covington, Robert W. Fogal, III, Jay Fogal, Ron Fogal, Jerry Kelley and Marty Mauer. Honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters, Terri Sims, Mitzi Hays, Tanya Guillotte and Patti Kelley. Our family would like to thank all of her caregivers at the Loving Care Nursing Center for the wonderful care and kind attention that they gave to our precious mother.
