Iris Ellen Pierce Hare, 65, of Orange passed away Friday, July 14, 2006 at Memorial Baptist Hospital in Orange. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 17, 2006 at McArthur Heights Baptist Church in Pinehurst. Officiating will be Reverend Billy Hutson, Reverend Kevin Inman and Mr. Stuart Gary. Burial will follow at Wilkinson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-10 p.m. Sunday at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Mrs. Hare was born July 19, 1940 in Port Arthur to Roy Peter and Edna Ellena (Guy) Pierce. She was a former resident of Port Acres and had lived in Orange for the past 46 years. She worked as a homemaker, was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law and aunt. She was a member of McArthur Heights Baptist Church, long time leader in the 4-H club, a representive for Reach for Recovery. She enjoyed her crafts, gardening, going to garages sales and helping people. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Paul Pierce. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Thomas C. Hare of Orange; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas „Moe" and April Hare of Orange; Daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Jim Bob Aven of Orange; grandchildren, Crystal Davis Nidini and husband Kiel Nidini, Courtnie Moss, Ashley Hare, Kelsey Hare, Jesse Hare, Megan Moss and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brothers, Melvin Pierce of Beaumont, Ralph Pierce of Port Arthur; sister, Willena Moore of Warren. Serving as pallbearers will be Stuart Gary, Larry Hare, Shawn Hare, Tim Pierce, Jr. Bailey, Paul Pierce, Jr., Jimmy Lee Owens and Preston Venable.
