BLOCK, FREDRICK WILLIAM
Enlisted in the service of the Confederate States of America in June, 1862, and served "Honorably" as a "Private" in Company "B", 11TH "Spaight’s Battalion", "Cavalry" of Texas, C.S.A. He was at His time of enlistment a resident of Jefferson County, Texas. He was "Honorably" discharged from said service in May, 1865, by Colonel A. W. Spaight at Sabine Pass, Texas. At which time He held the rank of "Private". (Information obtained from "Southern Cross of Honor" application…His writing).
Wife: Mary A. Block received a Confederate Pension from the State of Texas. Pension # 03203. (note: Company "B" was formed in Jefferson County (Sabine Pass), Texas.)
